Produced by Ian Cooper (Human League, Joy Division, Kate Bush, Iggy Pop), Semi-Detached could be seen as the boys’ flagship track – building, as it does, from stark Germanic synth riffs, through driving bass, into a dizzying multilayered anthem, finally incorporating searing brass and a crushing vocal refrain from JJ.
